Abstract
Because of his interest in diseases of the head and neck, the otolaryngologist is in an excellent position to be the first to become suspicious of many endocrine disorders. It is thy purpose of this discussion to alert the otolaryngist to certain key signs and symptoms which, upon further study by the endocrinologist, often lead to cure of the patient. The discussion will be approached anatomically, thereby emphasizing observation of the patient while the clinical history is being taken.
